DESCRIPTION
InPreflight is a comprehensive quality control, document packaging and reporting solution for Adobe InDesign. It gathers information about document fonts, colors and links and lets you instantly locate potential problems according to user-defined settings.

InPreflight also lets users print graphic preflight reports and save them as fully searchable interactive PDF files, providing an easy way to analyze, archive and send reports to service providers. Users can also open links in default application and show them in InDesign document, and reveal links/fonts in Finder. InPreflight is also a powerful packaging solution which allows you to preflight and package multiple documents. It can collect all files into one folder, eliminating the need to collect the same links multiple times for each design. This is especially useful when collecting multiple InDesign files that share the same linked images. The savings can result in gigabytes of saved space and hours of production time.

    WHAT THE?  at first I when I tried I thought yeh great. Then when using with large jobs it picked up a few issues with my files, and I pride myself on perefect output to pdf...

    so now I use to all the time, as it is insurance to that you are supplying a file that wont come back and bite you. It is easy to forget when the pressure is on... this saves my butt.

    RADIANCE CREATIVE  If you are looking for a more robust way to preflight your documents than what InDesign CSx offers then this plugin fits the bill.

    We needed something that would quickly show us the Effective resolution of images used in InDesign documents. We often work with FPOs from photographers, so we need a very fast way to make sure that we have replaced those FPOs with the High Resolution versions in our final documents

    InPreflight allows us to specify whatever Effective Resolution we are looking for. We can set it to flag images with less than 300ppi resolution for offset printing, or less than 360ppi resolution for printing on our Epson 7600. We can also flag spot colors, RGB images, embedded fonts and many more options. Each set of variables can be save as a preset.

    For the cost, we find this plugin very feature rich and an extremely valuable addition to InDesign CSx.
