DESCRIPTION
JaSFtp is not just another SFtp client! JaSFtp is designed with automation in mind, so you do not have to spend time interactively transferring files.

Features

  • Simple User Interface helps you transfer files interactively, but the Goal is to get you to create advanced SFTP and FTP tasks that can be scheduled automatically or run manually.
  • Automate SFtp to/from an intranet or internet server. Schedule ftp of files between your Mac and the server and automatically rename the files based on current month, day or time if needed. SFtp supports wildcards. Transfer multiple files at once. Supports subdirectory transfers.
  • Scheduler software is very easy to use, yet has very powerful scheduling, tasking and automation capabilities.
  • Email Notification of task failure based on task exit code.
  • Remote Ftp directory monitor can detect directory change and trigger ftp , zip, copy, delete tasks. Can also detect file size, total files, file modification dates and trigger other tasks if required.
  • Local directory monitor works similar to the Remote Ftp directory monitor.
  • Zip files and directories using wildcards on schedule. Can append date/time to filename for archive purposes.
  • Copy files and directories using wildcards on schedule. Can append date/time to filename for archive purposes.
  • Delete files on schedule based on wildcards.
WHAT'S NEW
Version 8.30:
  • SFTP-J task bugfix - Ascii/binary, remote EOL, and file permission fields ignored user interface settings and resetted to defaults during task run.
  • SFTP-J, FTP-J task - Get mode, delete source after transfer Option, now deletes using filename rather than full pathname.

DAN  CyberDuck is free.

Fugu is free.

Asking $99.95, JaSFtp developer is disgustingly greedy.

'Nuff said.

BOUSOZOKU  Fugu doesn't appear to have similar capabilities beyond those of simple FTP clients.

JaSFtp is touted as having features for automation and Fugu doesn't support that, according to what the developer has provided.

Claiming that the price is inappropriate for that reason is not a valid argument.

HENDO  What about CyberDuck? It's the best FTP client around AND it's free.

ANONYMOUS  Whoa... I'd love to review this, but your installer doesn't seem to be working right at all. First of all, either it's got the worst interface I've ever seen, or none of the text in the installer is showing up. I got two windows with nothing but pretty pictures of wrenches... and then the installer unexpectedly quit. I'd ditch that installer in favor of the standard Apple one -- or, better yet, do away with an installer entirely. That's what application packages are supposed to be all about. :)
